To the left you will see the poster for the documentary, Pope Michael Film, which was recently posted to the Internet. I do not know why Adam choose this particular picture for the poster, but it did remind me of a meeting I held over a decade ago. I was addressing my advisors at the time and realized in preparing for this, no one was listening. I opened the meeting stood up with my clip board and faced the wall and began to read from the clip board. I could tell there were some questions behind me. I soon turned around and said that I did not think people were listening to what I was saying. Everyone in that room had their own agenda. And sometimes I wonder, is anyone listening? Or is everyone coming here out of mere curiosity.
I am reminded of the story of Saint Francis, who could get no one to listen to his sermon. So he went out to a field and preached. The animals came up and listened. And I cannot even get an animal to come up and listen attentively.
