Phil Friedl
In the summer of 2007 Phil Friedl sent me the first rough draft, which formed the basis of this book,which was published in the fall of 2009. As is my custom (which is why I own a laser printer), I printed it out so I could study it carefully. I began reading and was amazed at the unique approach. I have read a few books through the years, and have never seen one take this approach.
With the seminarians coming into the Church and working with me, I have found fresh ideas on how to present the truth. They have struggled to find their way home to the Catholic Church recently, whereas most of my struggles occurred a quarter of a century ago. They know how people think out there today, whereas I have been in here somewhat isolated. The only way I know what people are thinking is by the contacts I make, and even these may be somewhat reserved. I strongly recommend purchasing and reading this book. It influenced my own thinking, and I am sure you will find it helpful to sort things out.
